At the tender age of 24, John Kosh joined the Beatles at the request of legendary singer John Lennon. At the time he was working as the Art Director for Art and Artist magazine published by Mario Amaya in London. The magazine collaborated with artists including Yoko Ono (John Lennon’s wife) and John Lennon. John Kosh worked as the Creative Director for the newly created Apple Records founded by the Beatles.

John Kosh worked with John Lennon to create “Abbey Road”. “Let it Be” was the first album that was produced by the Beatles, but they shelved without releasing as their first for various reasons. With the approval of Lennon, Kosh selected the cover photo for the album, “Let it Be”. Between them they decided not to put the name of the band or the album because it was obvious with the picture by itself.

John Kosh now lives in Los Angeles. He moved to the U.S. in 1979 and continued to design covers for such artists including Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, Rod Stewart; and the Eagles and the Rolling Stones. He was nominated five times for Grammy Awards and won three Grammy’s. Currently he runs the Ten Worlds Production in Los Angeles.
