Grammy Honors Who’s Who of the Music Industry

The 57th Annual Grammy Awards are in the history book. The famed award ceremony that honors the industry talent took place on February 8, 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The award ceremony hosted by LL Cool J has been televised live on CBS in the U.S. and more than 25.3 million watched the show on television.

The up and coming British artist, Sam Smith took four awards including the Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for his song “Stay with Me” from his album In the Lonely Hour. The album itself won the Best Pop Vocal Album award. Beyoncé won three awards making her the second most honored female musician behind Alison Krauss. Beyoncé featuring Jay Z won the Best R&B Performance award. A total of 83 Grammy Awards were handed over making the show producing one more award than the 2014 show.

The Album of the Year award went to Beck Hansen for “Morning Phase – Beck.” The Best Pop Solo Performance Award won by Pharrell Williams for his “Happy (Live).” Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga won the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album Award for their album, Cheek to Cheek.
