Beyoncé to perform at the Super Bowl 2013 Halftime Show

Beyoncé will be headlined the Super Bowl 2013 Halftime Show that is scheduled for February 3, 2013 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La.  During the Super Bowl’s first decade, high school marching bands entertained the crowd.  Super Bowl introduced the popular musicians during the middle of the third decade.  The previous Halftime Show entertainers include New Kids on the Block, Gloria Estefan, Michael Jackson, Prince, Clint Black, Patti LaBelle, Tony Bennett, Madonna, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, the Black Eyed Peas, The Rolling Stones, and Janet Jackson.  Who could forget the wardrobe malfunction of Janet Jackson with Justin Timberlake during the Halftime Show at Super Bowl XXXVIII?

The 31-year old Beyoncé is an accomplished musician.  She is an extraordinarily gifted 16-time Grammy Award winning singer, song writer, an entrepreneur, actress and a wife and a mother.   She grew up in Houston and a recent feature-length HBO documentary film that is expected to debut on February 16, 2013 will focus on her childhood in Houston, her family and her career.  The feature film is expected to detail her demanding preparations for her live shows.  Her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter was born in January 2012.
